The latest Olivia Leigh press comes courtesy of the sometimes-overlooked Chicago History Museum, one of Chicago’s unsung treasures, nestled in Old Town instead of in the heart of Museum Campus. However, it has been one of my favorites since first journeying up to the city to do research in their amazing archives in college, and since then, they have continued to curate really unique exhibits about history, style and architecture in the city.

As such, I was, of course, extremely excited and flattered when I was asked to contribute some photos for a video project that is part of their new exhibit, “I Do: Chicago Ties the Knot,” opening tomorrow at the museum. The exhibit traces the history of Chicago wedding fashions over more than a century, and features 45 beautiful and unique dresses (how much do I love that 50s dress?) from the past 150 years. Photos from a number of weddings I have photographed are featured. You can learn more about the exhibit on CHM’s site. I can’t wait to check it out, and hope you can, too!
