David and Aarthi :: Milwaukee, Wisc. Wedding

After shooting both a save the date and engagement session for David and Aarthi earlier this year, I was finally able to shoot their beautiful dual-ceremony wedding up in Milwaukee earlier this month. Their venues were stunning, their families were delightful, and the day went off fabulously. The Christian ceremony took place at the The Cathedral of St. John, one of the most stunning churches I have seen. The Hindu ceremony and reception were both at the Intercontinental, a hotel with stunning interiors that is well worth the trip to Milwaukee. Lots of photos, so we’ll get right to it. Also be sure to check back later this week—Joe and I did an impromptu photobooth during a lull in the cocktail hour, and it is one of the most fun series of photos I’ve ever taken. I shot so many that I decided to save it for another post, but it’s well worth coming back for!

So beautiful. Thanks to Joe for nabbing this.

These are more traditional fare, but the courtyard at the church was so stunning. It reminded me of, imagine that, an Ivy League school.

Aarthi’s Hindu ceremony gown was outrageously beautiful, and custom-made in India.

Aarthi and David had about 15 attendants for the Hindu ceremony, largely as a way to involve many of their friends and family. By the time the ceremony was about to start, about 30 girls were fussing with saris in this room.

I love this, so much. Feels like a movie still to me.

Thanks again to Joe for this one. He rocked the overhead shots. :)
