This summer and fall brought with it an incredibly diverse range of weddings. From grand ballroom weddings to a rustic and relaxed celebration at Salvage One; an intimate lounge wedding at the MCA to another bash at the Modern Wing, I think I shot just about every “type” of wedding we are lucky enough to have here in Chicago. Beatrice and Sebastian were a couple that had yet another unique wedding. Their Assumption Church wedding in River North and a five-course reception dinner at BOKA for about 40 of their friends and family was just a delight. This was a completely global wedding, with Beatrice’s family coming from her home country of Malaysia, Sebastian’s friends making the trek from his Germany, and other friends and family coming from other cities around the world and country, in addition to a few Chicagoans. This wedding was so relaxed , and just full of laughter, amazing toast, great style (I think I died at the sight of Beatrice’s Marchesa reception dress), and, of course, amazing food. If you are looking for an intimate but stylish location to host your wedding, I’d definitely recommend considering BOKA. We also did an engagement session just days before their wedding, so below is also a little peek of those as I’m not sure I’ll get around to blogging them all.
