2010 | Review

While 2010 felt like a year that flew by at rapid speed, it simultaneously feels like the events I shot at the beginning of the year were eons ago. This was an big, intense year for me, both personally and professionally. I photographed 24 wonderful weddings and a slew of other engagement, portrait, boudoir and maternity sessions. I traveled from coast to coast to shoot, and even did a wedding in Peru. The diversity of weddings this year was really quite amazing—destination weddings with 8 people, soirees with 300; backyard weddings and weddings in opulent hotels. I think sometimes people like to categorize photographers into one specific type of wedding—and I certainly do it myself—but this year was really quite the refreshing mix, and as I put together this post I was reminded again of how the people are truly the common thread. Bright, joyful, wonderful couples, whom I was so lucky to meet and share part of a year with. Below are a selection (ok, too large a selection!) of favourites of mine from the past year. Thank you so much to all the amazing clients who allowed me to get to know them and document their relationship. And another big thank you to all the wonderful couples on the books for 2011 and even 2012 —to say I am excited about the couples coming up this year would be a gross understatement. Wishing everyone all the best in 2011.

You capture something special in your photos. There are a lot of people laughing, which I don’t see on other wedding photographer sites. It’s genuine and completely refreshing. Beautiful photos!!!
