Dan & Keila :: Chicago Engagement Session

Oh, these two! I just love these two. From the first consult with Dan and Keila, I felt like we were a bit of kindred spirits. I was able to spend almost the entire day with them recently after helping out at a video shoot for them, and then spending a few hours with them for their session. There are so many things I enjoy about this couple—their humor, wit, and thoughtfulness being high on the list—and another quality that stands out so significantly in how intentional they are. When discussing their wedding plans, everything is incredibly thought through—not in a way that things are overwrought, but rather, they are a couple that is striving to have meaning behind all of their choices. I so appreciate when couples do this and think it really makes for an incredible experience for the guests. For their engagement session, it was no different, and rather than just selecting a cool area, they really want to choose locations that held personal meaning for them. As such, we traipsed around their old neighborhoods, stopping off at several little nooks where many, many cups of coffee and pastries were consumed while studying. I cannot wait (can’t wait!!) for their wedding coming up in just a few short weeks at Salvage One. Rumour has it a pinata will be making an appearance and bossa nova will be played, so color me very, very excited…
