I was working on some details for Courtney and Timmy’s upcoming wedding (which is going to be just the most amazing!) and was going through some of their winter engagement session images we did. Courtney and Timmy are another of my couples that first met in high school — I’m not sure why I get so many of these couples, but I am certainly not complaining! These are often my favorite couples, as I find so many years of having known one another breeds such a relaxed energy between the couple. These are usually the most relaxed, fun and easy-to-laugh of my couples and Courtney and Timmy are no different! We attempted to schedule a session several times but due to work and weather ended up shooting on the border of winter and spring.
While I don’t usually recommend winter shoots (red noses and huge parkas aren’t always the best look), the cusp of the seasons, especially when you can find a day with light as dreamy as this, can be just wonderful. I love the cool, blueish light of winter mixed with the warm sunlight, and it’s especially nice to be able to go out to some of the most popular parts of town and have them feel completely private. I just loved this shoot and cannot wait for the wedding of these two!
