I’ve lately noticed a lot of emails strangely going to SPAM, and just chatted with a prospective clients whose follow-up proposal got stuck in her SPAM folder. Another photographer friend of mine had commented that she was experiencing similar issues, and it seems to be particularly prevalent, strangely, with gmail lately.
I just wanted to post a little note to let prospective or current clients know that if you are trying to contact me and don’t get a response within 48 hours, or by Monday if it’s over the weekend, to please try again or give me a ring, as I will certainly respond to all phone calls. I write to all inquiries, even if I am booked on your date. If you are a current client and are waiting for me to get back to you about an album or other information, please also feel free to contact me if you might be concerned that I didn’t get your email. I always respond to messages, and even if I can’t get a thorough response back right away, I will always send you a note to let you know when I will respond in more detail.
And just so this isn’t an all-business email, here is a lovely image from Autumn and Brian’s recent wedding. This was shot on film, and I absolutely love it. I’ll elaborate more on my thoughts on film in their full wedding post, but I still believe nothing can replicate the feeling that film can provide. I have some plans for film for 2010, and after speaking with a great team of some of Chicago best’s event coordinators today, I’m even more excited for what will hopefully be hatching soon.

. I have been so obsessed with film lately; particularly as I’ve been putting together Julie + Matt’s album, I want everything in it to be film. There is just something so artistic, nuanced and editorial about film—I just adore it, and consequently, spent a lot of time scouring ebay today for some new goodies.
Here is another little flower shot. Canon EOS-1V with Ektar film. Flowers by the wonderful ladies at Hello Darling.

Summer is here, which means I’m travelling quite a lot. Here is a little rundown of some spots where you can expect me soon. If you or someone you know is interested in a session in one of the cities, certainly contact me. I also offer some specials for sessions that I do while out of state. I’m also always available to come to you!
And here are a few quick grabs from some of the BW film I shot at Matt and Julie’s wedding. I haven’t looked through them all yet, but these were just four quick grabs. I really love them, and think Julie will so enjoy them (I hope!). People always ask me if I can tell the difference between film and digital, and I think you always can. I love digital, but the texture and feeling to film is simply the best. Film always seems to capture a certain feeling in a way that digital can’t, and it’s such a little treat every time I get it back. For photographers, these were with a Canon EOS 1-V with Ilford HP5 plus 400 film. For other clients of mine, I’ll probably be offering film upgrades as an addition to collections if you would like a roll or two at your event. Contact me for more info. :: more of these to come ::
