Brides: Chicago

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Brides: Chicago for featuring Crista & Bill’s gorgeous wedding at the MCA throughout their new Spring/Summer 2010 issue. What a treat it was so open up and see the photos throughout! Brides always does a gorgeous job of selecting and laying out images, and this issue is no exception. Please pick up a copy to read more of Crista & Bill‘s cute story and see much more beautiful wedding inspiration. (Need to actually sit down and scan these pages but some out-of-state friends were asking me to see, so photos it is!)

Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings is a wonderful magazine out of North Carolina that has taken so much of the wedding world by storm! The magazine premiered earlier this year, and the team at SW has done such a great job cultivating a really devoted following of passionate readers and also connecting with photographers. I have been fond of the magazine as it is so photo-heavy; the spreads and features are gorgeous and really do place a strong emphasis on the photography. That said, I thought I would probably not get a chance to have a photo in it anytime soon seeing as how I don’t shoot many weddings in the South (though please contact me if you are planning one! My family all lives in Charlotte and Nashville now, so I have developed some real Southern roots and I would love to shoot more down there!). I was so excited when I was asked to have one of my bouquet shots included on a floral spread. 

I believe you can pick up SW at Borders and Barnes & Noble in Chicago, and it is available throughout the southeast in grocery stores, Targets, etc., so certainly check it out!

Featured on Style Me Pretty!

I was so thrilled when Abby Larson of Style Me Pretty featured Julie + Matt’s beautiful wedding celebration yesterday. I was giddy when I found out SMP, pretty much the creme de la creme of wedding blogs, was going to run some of the photos, but I was positively overjoyed when I read the incredibly nice words Abby wrote about Julie + Matt’s style, as well as my photography, over the course of five (!) posts.

The wonderful Miss Amanda Mooney interviewed me about my business, specifically how I’ve used the internet/social media to grow OLP, for a little feature on PAPER’s Word Up blog. Never in a million years did I think I would be featured somewhere as cool as PAPER, so I am amused/flattered/thrilled that I was asked to talk about my business. The dorky kid in me is glowing.
