Take two large Irish-Catholic families, add 350 other guests, and transform a historic ballroom, and you end up with a one-of-a-kind holiday wedding
With two very large families and tons of friends, finding a space to accomodate all of their loved ones was no small challenge. After considering a few options, their wonderful planner and designer, Renny from Bliss Weddings and Events, helped this couple envision a wedding that transformed a historic hotel ballroom into a one-of-a-kind space. Marrying a week before Christmas, the celebration had elements of the holiday season without feeling like a "Christmas wedding," aside from their afterparty that recreated an iconic and kitschy Chicago dive bar, Butch McGuire's.
