WEDDINGS | chicago

For a bride getting her Ph.D. in art history, selecting the iconic Art Institute of Chicago was a natural fit. With the groom hailing from Norway, Bluhm Terrace provided striking views of Chicago for the international and local guests. Despite the grand setting, the couple achieved a minimalist, laid-back feel to the celebration, allowing their friends and family to truly celebrate at tables strewn with lavender, a nod to the groom's homeland. I especially loved capturing many sweet moments between the bride and her sister, to whom she is very close, as well as a very fun dance floor where the Americans and Norweigans became fast friends with the universal goal of "having a great time."
