These two are such an amazing couple. They are both smart and successful (the bride is one of the founders of TheSkimm.com), but they are also incredibly relaxed and gracious. They were such a pleasure to work with throughout the process, their families were so warm and wonderful, and their Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft wedding was a perfect reflection of their relationship.
They prepared for their wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, and I recommended we do the first look in a nearby park, only to learn it was the same park where the bride used to play as a child. (I love when we can include a location with sentimental value!) I love that they did a first look, as we were able to visit several gorgeous locations on the way to their wedding venue, the Skyline Loft at Bridgeport Art Center. And combine the beauty of the space done up by Megan Estrada at North Shore Weddings and Events and Yanni Design with a gospel choir singing “Stay with Me” by Sam Smith at their processional, and you get an emotional, stunning ceremony that still caused tears. They had an amazing reception where the bride’s father gave one of the most beautiful toasts I’ve ever heard, followed by some truly epic dancing.
